Sometimes, I have an irresistible craving for Koki's Dan Dan noodles.
After trying several options like spicy red Dan Dan noodles, black sesame Dan Dan noodles, and dry Dan Dan noodles, I returned to the classic Dan Dan noodles. You can choose between curly and straight noodles. I always go for the curly noodles and add toppings like flavored eggs and green onions.
The soup is rich and creamy with a strong aroma of sesame and peanuts. It pairs deliciously with the curly noodles. During lunch, a small serving of white rice comes with it. Dipping it in the soup makes it even tastier.
Although it's a simple Dan Dan noodle dish, you can enjoy changing the flavor by adding red Sichuan pepper, green Sichuan pepper, or aromatic vinegar available on the table. I like to eat half of it as is, then add green Sichuan pepper, and finally finish with aromatic vinegar.
