The 'Angel Cream Puff' Known by Everyone Locally
The narrow passage leading to the entrance is small, but when you open the door, baked goods are lined up, and there are days when a line forms at the cake showcase depending on the time. At the back of the shop, there is a café corner with a cozy space of 4 tables and 4 counter seats, which is always bustling.
This time, since there was a wait and it was past 4 PM, I took a break with the classic cream puff and hot coffee. The crispy cream puff with a vanilla-scented, generous custard cream, which is a popular item since the establishment, has a short shelf life. For me, it was one of the few sweets I could eat as a child who wasn't fond of sweet things.
Accompanying the cream puff is a tasting of the local Hamamatsu confectionery, 'Sunny Mikan,' made with Mikkabi mikan. The baked goods are also delicious, so feel free to take them as souvenirs.
What I highly recommend you take your time to enjoy is the freshly squeezed Mont Blanc. The Mont Blanc available at the shop can be taken out, but if you eat in, don’t underestimate its thin appearance; you can fully enjoy the rich chestnut flavor.
