Himeyurinoto Tower is a memorial built to honor the students and teachers of the "Himeyuri student corps" who lost their lives during the Okinawa battle.
During the Okinawa battle in 1945, students from the Okinawa Normal School for Girls and Okinawa Prefectural First High School were mobilized as nursing personnel to the battlefield, resulting in the loss of many young lives.

Today, it serves as a place for peace education, attracting many visitors who quietly continue to convey the horrors of war and the preciousness of life. There is also a museum nearby where visitors can deeply understand the reality of the Okinawa battle through testimonies and materials from that time.

It is about a 10-minute drive from Peace Memorial Park and the Cornerstone of Peace, making it a recommended stop for peace education tours.
This place, standing amidst the blue sky and gentle winds of Itoman, provides an important time to reflect on peace.
