
Experience the charm of fermentation through your five senses at the entertainment facility "KIKUSUI KURA GARDEN"
The facility includes a "Lab" experimental space where you can deepen your understanding of fermentation, a "Shop" that offers a wide range of items including Japanese sake, fermented foods, and original sake vessels, and a "Café" where you can enjoy brunch and sweets made with koji and sake lees, making it a place where both adults and children can enjoy fermentation experiences.

■Guidance for Sake Brewery Tours
You can view the interior of the handmade sake brewery, Setsugorokura, through glass, and the employees of Kikusui Sake Brewery will guide you through the Sake Culture Research Institute, which has a wealth of literature related to sake and sake vessels. (Reservation required, fee applicable)

You can enjoy shopping and dining at the "KIKUSUI KURA GARDEN" shop and café located on the brewery premises.
【Shop】
We offer limited edition sake and original sake vessels that make your sake experience enjoyable, available only here. You can taste several types of sake, from standard to premium, using our dedicated sake tasting server.
【Café】
We provide lunch and sweets using fermented ingredients like salt koji and sake lees, with menus that are pleasing to both the heart and body. You can enjoy a view of the dry landscape Japanese garden from inside the café, allowing for a relaxing time. Some menu items are available for takeout. On sunny days, you can enjoy them outdoors as well.

We hold the "Funaguchi Festival" every September.
Monthly fermentation workshops are held at the KIKUSUI KURA GARDEN Lab.
■Surrounding Tourist Information
Within a 30-minute radius from the brewery, you can enjoy the seasonal scenery of the nature-rich Hokuechigo, including Tsukioka Onsen, Shibata Castle, Nioujidake, Kajigawa, and the Sea of Japan. Recommended activities include foot baths at Tsukioka Onsen, strolling through the castle town, viewing cherry blossoms along Kajigawa, and watching the sunset over the Sea of Japan.
