Rich yet refreshing! The classic Miyazaki ramen that you want to eat again and again
The famous restaurant "Ramen Kimura OYODO" in Miyazaki City has been loved for a long time. As you pass through the flavorful noren (curtain), you are greeted by the appetizing aroma of roasted pork bone. This time, I enjoyed the signature dish "Shio Chashu Ramen (Large!)" that satisfied both my stomach and heart!
★Long lines are a must during lunchtime! But the spacious interior is reassuring
Since it is a very popular local restaurant, it is not uncommon to see long lines forming in front of the restaurant during lunchtime.
You might worry for a moment, "Will I have to wait a long time...?" But this is a famous restaurant after all. The interior is very spacious with many seats, so the turnover of customers is surprisingly fast. There are not only counter seats but also table seats and tatami rooms, making it a comfortable space for everyone from solo diners to families to enjoy ramen at their leisure.

The medium-thick, chewy straight noodles hold the soup perfectly. The soup looks rich at first glance, but when you take a sip, it is surprisingly mellow. The richness and umami of the pork bone spread gently, and there is no heaviness, making it delicious enough to drink down to the last drop. When you bite into the juicy chashu, it is truly a moment of bliss.
When you visit "Ramen Kimura", there is a must-try delight on the table.
First, the classic Miyazaki ramen side dish, the yellow "Takuan". While waiting for the ramen, it is of course nice to nibble on it, but it also serves as the perfect palate cleanser when enjoyed between bites of the rich ramen.
And essential for changing the flavor midway is the special "Garlic Soy Sauce". Just adding a little of this to the soup gives a punch and deep richness to the otherwise mild soup, making you eat even faster! It is no exaggeration to say that these two items are what complete the ramen at "Kimura".

It is very nice that you can easily take out the taste of this famous restaurant even outside of business hours. Enjoying it at home with a good amount of garlic soy sauce sounds great too.
