The Ukai Fishing on the Nagara River in Gifu is a traditional fishing method where a fisherman uses trained cormorants to catch fish, with a history of over 1300 years.
As the bonfire reflects on the river surface, the fisherman and the cormorants work together to chase after sweetfish, inviting viewers into a mystical world.
