The "Yonomori Cherry Blossom Avenue" is a pride of Tomiokamachi.
Many of the trees are around 100 years old, originating from plantings in the Meiji era.
Due to the Great East Japan Earthquake and the nuclear accident, it was a difficult area to return to for a long time, but in January 2022, some restrictions were eased, allowing full cherry blossom viewing along the entire 2.2 km in the spring of the same year.
This is a famous cherry blossom spot representing Fukushima Prefecture, and the "cherry blossom tunnel" that stretches 2.2 km attracts many visitors.
The night illumination is also a must-see for its fantastical beauty.
