Fukushima March 11 Memorial Park (Fully Open on April 25)

2026/05/08

In memory of the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake, and to convey the memories and lessons of the disaster to future generations, as well as to express the strong will for reconstruction of this prefecture, which suffered tremendous damage from the earthquake and nuclear disaster, the reconstruction memorial park is being developed in conjunction with the national memorial facility, and it is expected to be fully operational on April 25, 2026.
Together with the national memorial facility, we will create a landscape that allows people to feel the reconstruction, deepen understanding of complex disasters, and work on collaboration with hope tourism and nearby facilities such as the Great East Japan Earthquake and Nuclear Disaster Memorial Museum, while also managing and operating the park as a place for those who have feelings for Fukushima to gather and interact.
