Fukushima Museum
The Fukushima Museum is a comprehensive museum that collects, preserves, researches, and exhibits a wide range of materials related to the history, culture, and nature of Fukushima Prefecture.
Focusing on the "lives of people" from prehistoric times to modern times, it exhibits over 3,000 actual materials, models, and replicas, including iron swords and bronze mirrors excavated from the Aizu Otsukayama burial mound, as well as various aspects of political and social movements and culture.
If desired, exhibition explanations by staff members in the museum are also available.
Additionally, in the free experience learning room, visitors can experience old costumes and toys. Various events are held regularly.
Guide dogs are allowed. Wheelchairs are available for rent. Accessible restrooms for wheelchair users are available.

By car: About 30 minutes from Aizuwakamatsu IC on the Ban'etsu Expressway
By train: From Aizuwakamatsu Station on the JR Ban'etsu West Line, take the town circular bus Haikara-san or Akabe, and get off at Tsuruga Castle San-no-maru entrance.

Opening hours: 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM (Admission until 30 minutes before closing)
Closed: Mondays, the day after holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, etc.
Admission: Permanent exhibition: General/University 280 yen, free for elementary, junior high, and high school students
Special exhibitions: Set separately for each special exhibition
* Children's Day (May 5), Citizens' Day (August 21), Respect for the Aged Day, Culture Day (November 3) are free for the permanent exhibition.
* Fukushima Education Week (November 1-7) is free for special exhibitions for elementary, junior high, and high school students only.
